You just have to wait it out. Brain-freeze is caused by cold things coming in contact with the roof of your mouth. To avoid it just change the way you eat your icecream or shake.

press your tongue on the roof of your mouth or drink warm water. all it is is the nerves on the top of your mouth getting cold so just warm them up!!
