hey man you have to make the choice to tell anyone your gay by yourself,A lot of baggage comes with coming out, a hell of a lot of baggage. Some of your friend may hate you but if you tell anyone expect the whole school to know within 2 days, how do you know your gay,or bi or a normal 17 year old who is going through a hormonal challenge, and if in a short time you realize you not gay and you have told anyone you are, you can never undo the damage to you and your family's reputation. It's normal to love your friends and to have a special best friend too but not to be in love with him, Remember there are a lot of rednecks out there who would Love to slice you down for being gay, don't give them the chance until you have really thought it through.

I used to think like "goldwing110083", but not anymore.
Who cares if you're gay but you!
Be gay is part of u n if anyone doesn't like it then that one can go to hell, I think that being afraid of let ppl know you're gay is logic but kinda stupid, friends n family should love you for whatt u r! Don't u think?
I think u should start telling it to your best friend (that's what I did), as your best friend, will surely accept u n feel that he/she's important to u, 'cause u'll be confessing something very important...
That friend can help you with all this (mine did).
I don't tell to EVERYONE that I'm gay but if someone asks I tell, as I said, it's part of your life n u don't have nothing to be ashamed of.
About the friend u're in love with, if he's not gay, I think u should keep it to yourself, otherwise your friendship could be destroyed or damaged; I think a friendship could last foreva, love don't.

Make sure that you know the reprocussions that coming out could cause. Being in High School is a tough time in a kids life.If you tell the wrong person, your personal life could be spread around the school in a skinny minute. Just make sure that you are prepared for this. Good luck!!!

Absolutely not...don't go blabbing until you are able to leave town if you live in a small one. IF you live in a big one, then keep it to other schools that you do not go to. As soon as you tell ONE person, everyone in your school is going to know. And that is something you don't need at 17.

No, don't tell anyone unless you are ready.
Try to be as close as your friend possible, and pray the god or do something to make him becoming a gay....

Its your choice to be openly gay. Its very unlikely that your friend is also gay if your not openly gay.

you should tell someone, as in talk with someone you trust, but you really need to weigh your friends potential reactions before you bare your soul to your teenage love interest.
