Most Americans believe in divorce that's why. And they don't know what love is. I believe in marriage and there are still some that really do just not till death does them apart..

I believe in marriage, but some might not probably because they see things happen to those who were married and don't want to end up like them. Even though not everything the same happens in each relationship, but some people still think like that.

It's not that they don't believe in marriage, it's rather the terrible consequences of divorce and all the lousy relationships that go on today without marriage. Many have given up.

Because we (Americans) have had it too easy. We don't want to expend any energy in trying to make a marriage work. We have a short attention span, so if we lose interest in a current spouse, what the hell, get divorced and try a new mate!

THAT is a GREAT question!!!!!!!!!! My only guess is the same old story, lack of morals and values. I'm 32, been married once and do not plan on repeating such a mistake.I was divorced, I took my vows VERY seriously, she didnt.I became what I hate about society because someone else didnt value the institution of marriage.

What makes you think that? My parents just celebrated their 50 wedding anniversary this past Saturday. My 18 year anniversary is June 18th. The majority of the people I know are married.

What teaches them to believe in marriage besides the church? The media will easily counter anything the church says.

I don't know. GWB's recent appearance on a radio programme was a bit perplexing - He went on about how wonderful marriage is, and then said he wants less of it. Very odd.
