I love animals. I love living. I love giving my dog heartworm preventitive, and wormers, and vaccines. I take tylenol, and cold medicine and other medications.
All those things would not be here if it was not for animal testing. People want to have a cure for cancer and AIDS, and all the other diseases.
You can support humane testing and not testing things like cosmetics and more oven cleaner. But if you take medications and give you pets medications....you have supported animal testing.
Oh yes we can hope to test these things on perverts and murderers, but there aren't enough of them to accomplish it, so what does that leave???????????????
People need to get their head out of the sand and support HUMANE treatment of animals during testing.....because it will continue.

I definately support animal rights. I think it is very cruel what poor animals are put through in labs. I seen a documentary once that made me absolutely cry. It showed things that was sickening , things that dogs and cats went through just to be tested on. Animals have rights just like people do in my opinion, and animal cruelity is just heartless.

No, i do no longer help animal rights in any way. human beings are dropping sight of the certainty they're area of a organic international and are affording animals extra rights than their very very own variety. No 'animal' as we call them could ever be stupid adequate to make that mistake. i'm hoping those claiming greater ethical floor discover their person-friendly experience floor. the international isn't morally evolving- go searching you.

I am more animal welfare than animal rights. I'm not a vegetarian, I don't compare factory farming to the Holocaust, I don't think that owning pets should be made illegal, and I don't believe that all hunting should be banned. So, no, I'm not an animal rights PETA fanatic. Animal welfare is more rational and understandable.

I do not agree with animal rights activists simply because of the extreme view they take, and their lack of knowledge about what really goes on in the medical research field. What many of you don't realize that those of us who love animals, and went to school to learn how to take care of them, are the ones that are making sure everyone follows the guidelines set by our countries.
Most of the animal rights documents are taken from cosmetic testing, or taken out of context. Here in Canada we have strict guidelines to adhere to in the medical research field. No animal is allowed to undergo unnecessary suffering. I've seen more clients in a vet clinic be cruel to their animals then I have where I work now.
Here we are working to find cures for spinal cord injuries, cancer, diabetes, GI diseases, hemophilia and much much more.
I definitely have a heart for animals - it's my job to make sure they are well taken care of every day.

I do also! Great JOB!
Animals deserve the same rights as us!
If they test on animal, i think they should test on themselves and see how it feels!
U rock.

I think the only way for us to find out if a certain cancer drug works is if it's tested on animals. Otherwise we won't know if that drug will be effective.
