Any EXCELLENT suggestions on how to quit smoking when it appears all the conventional ways are not workable? No sarcastic answers, sil vous plait.

You gotta have some self-control. I asked the good Lord to help me and I've been smoke-free for 2 years. If you believe in a higher power, then I would pray about it. That worked for me. When I quit smoking, I stopped getting sore throats and colds all the time and now I have tons more energy.

Gross, but might work for you... Don't empty your ashtray for a while. Quit pretty puch cold turkey. have no cigs in the house on around you whatsoever. then just once, when you are really desperate try to smoke on or more of your week or so old butts. You will make yourself sick and be so grossed out that it will be hard for you to even smell a cigerette without wanting to puke. It may help to be drunk when you attempt this. :)

well, i quit for 3 months now, and the gum have worked awesome, i tried cold turkey previous to that but obviously it didnt work so i tried the gum and havent had a craving since the 2nd day. but everyone is deifferent.

on the downside, with either the gum or the patch, you quit smoking, but you will still have to quit the gum or quit the patch, thats just not as hard though.

Start exercising. If you really stick with it, you want even want to smoke.
Avoid other people that smoke, or atleast avoid them when they are smoking.
Avoid situations where you would normally smoke, like bars, parties, etc.
Tell all of your non-smoking friends that you are serious about quitting. Chances are, they will give you a ration of **** if they see you even thinking about lighting up.

have faith in yourself ...is it food? drink? a plus to your health? .visit a cancer ward and see if that can convince you to stop .besides i don't smoke and am tired of smelling nicotine on your breath and it subtracts from you the beauty i know exist.
