There are many factors including heredity, immune disorders, liver and spleen problems, aids, and bone marrow disease. Search the web on low blood platelets and there is tons of information. Then rule out the problems you know it isn't.

my husband has lbp his is due to an injury many years ago to his spleen. he now has an enlarged spleen-dr is not anxious to remove
