I am sure she doesn't require you to wear pantyhose, I doubt if she gives a crotch inspection! She, or the company is requiring you to wear hosiery, just like the men. Horsey for men is socks, ankle, calf, or over the knee. Hosiery for women are knee highs, thigh highs, or pantyhose.

I wear stockings and a garter belt to the office, and sometimes hold ups. What kind of hosiery I wear is none of my bosses business, or my company's business, as long as I am wearing hosiery.

How many men come to work in bare feet and sandals. Same thing. Hosiery is required in most major corporations, at least those outside of California. It makes sense, you look ridiculous in heels and a business suit and bare legs, no matter how tanned or creamed or shaved they are, they are still bare legs and are best worn at the beach , not the office.

Stop complaining! Your appearance is a reflection of your company. It's not about how it may effect your job; it's about having and showing a good imagine to your customers. You work for a company, not yourself. If your company's policy has a dress code then you had better abide by it or find another job. It's not about you or how you want to dress or what your opinion is about the way the company is being operated. You're there to do your job and that's it; not start rebellions because you feel differently about something. If you don't like the company's policy, quit and start your own company and you can make your own dress code. Until then, keep your mouth shut and do your job. Managers do not want to hear they're employees whining about stupid crap like a dress code. There are far more important things to handle and worry about while running a company. The last thing I want to hear is an employee complaining because they have to wear pantyhose to MY office. You know what I do to employees that rock the boat? They get fired!

Yes it is normal for women to be required to wear hosiery, just as men wear socks and ties. But you can wear stockings, hold ups or even knee highs, if you want. Pantyhose arn't required. I wear stockings and a garterbelt everyday, because I dislike everything about pantyhose, but I love my stockings. They look sophisticated, and feel sexy, and don't cover my crotch and butt.

No adjusting in the bath room, no pulling up the crotch all day, no itchy butt. Just pure comfort and good looks.

Yes it is normal, just like the guys have to wear suits, ties and socks with their shoes. But you don't have to wear pantyhose, just hosiery. I wear stockings, and a garter belt because I prefer it.

The older ladies wear pantyhose or knee highs with longer dresses, the younger girls thi high hold ups. Your choice as ling as it is hosiery and looks business like.

Bare legs look stupid and cheap with dressy business clothes, no matter hog good the tan. I have a tanning membership, and a spa membership, so you know I am tan and well pedicured. I wear stockings because I am proud of my well kept legs, and prefer very sheer stockings, which is why I don't wear pantyhose or thi highs, They don't make them sheer enough.

And for those who say nylons are hot? Why, air conditioned office, set up for men with jackets, most of the girls have a sweater at their desk it is so cool. Air conditioned car or public transportation, air conditioned restuarets, and air conditioned apartments. Where do you get hot? Nobody is going to a ball game in their nylons.

I've had to wear pantyhose at every office I've ever worked - beats the service field, where I've also had to wear pantyhose. This is part of the price for having a job.

Yes! Some jobs require certain things that you should wear and if pantyhose is one of them, then you must ablige. It's stupid but hey you want your job right?

it may not sound right, but its just like having a uniform policy at any other job, we require it at my place of employment for women who where skirts to wear pantyhose, and it also states in our policy book that all employess must wear undergarments...ol how do they check for that.....

As far as I'm concerned, your boss shouldn't require you to wear any type of undergarment that you don't want to, as long as your job is not affected - and as long as you have a towel or some sort of absorbent material on your desk chair. um ...EWEH!??!

Is this really a bigger issue than an employer requiring a man to be clean shaven? Just deal with it, every job has its quirks.
