What is the best type of paint to use to provide the longest lasting finish?

wire wheel on drill - brass wire for last run
prime very well, and I use Krylon paints - have had very good results

Put newspaper on the floor, put some paint remover on it, let it set for a little, then scratch it off with a painting tool. As for the type of paint to use, ask the paint store.

if it is a shed and it is begging to chip use a powerwasher to get most of it, if it is indoors a liquid paint remover or the good ole sander will do......you want to paint metal with an enamel or oil based paint it will stick better and last a long time
