You need to control the wireless router and enable wpa 128 bit encryption. Use a passcode. Then disable SSID broadcast.
Then use the same passcode to connect your PC.

You have to configure the wireless router(s) to use their internal security protocols. There are different protocols available, WEP being one of them. The documentation that comes with the router will describe how to set this up.

Hi, this is usually done by setting up your wep key. This is the easiest at least.
In order to configure your router, open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1(in the address bar).
This will allow you to do what you need.
hope that helps

You put up a firewall and only let certain users access your network through passwords.

1) Stay away from WEP
2) use WPA
3) MAC filtering
4) do not broadcast the SSID
5) limit the broadcast range just to where you need it, only use omnidirectional antennas if necessary.
6) "honeypot" security (look it up)
