They are all lies....its like life...if it seems too good to be true it always is. Everyone here tonight wants a job they can do at home....it's not going to happen...to good to be true. Some people are cruel enough to give people false hopes to make money. So if you are ever asked for money for a job online...back away.

Good Luck

Wow, I really hope you don't take the advice you've been given so far! All work from home businesses are certainly not scams, I know because it is what I do....and I earn an honest living. Anyone who says all work from home businesses are scams, is just totally uneducated in the field and making a statement based on a lack of knowledge.
The one true statement is that if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Other than that, all you have to do is your homework.
Check with the Better Business Bureau to make sure a company is debt free and legitimate.
After that you need to decide on a product that you can believe in and then start building. You can make incredible money doing this, a lot more than you can at a job which always has a cap on it.
Look for a debt free company that has a solid background and you will start earning money right away. I started earning my second day in business and have gone nowhere but up!
Good Luck in your endeavours!

Truth of the matter is, they are not all lies. If you do your research, you will find that some of the best opportunities are home based businesses. There are lots of people making great incomes online from home. Just think if Bill Gates had listend to those who said people will never use a "computer" and it's a waste of time.

I have researched some opportunities and found that you can make money with your own website as an affiliate, or writing and selling ebooks, and many other ways. Then there are the google ways too.

One site that I have found that has some resources that are of a great value to those looking to work online, and you do have to work at it, is listed below. It could be that one of their resources will work for you. One thing you need to remember is, you can think about it forever, but until you actually do something, things will never change. Go for it.

You can start your own business that allows you to work from home.

What are you good at? Is there a service you could provide?

You will of course need some money for start-up costs, licensing (in some cases) and marketing.

You can always start small and grow your business over time.

Don't give up and don't get sucked into any MLM scams.
