how do u put in a tampon?

my mom only has pad boxes but she has tampons, how do u put them in?

i dont have a box!!

i dont have a box of tampons

and what do u do with the wrapper and applicator if u dont want ur mom to see them?

I'll tell you the instructions from my girlfriends.
1.) Either sit down with your legs spread or stand up with one foot on the toilet.
2.) Take the tampon out of the wrapper and hold the tampon with your index finger and thumb.
3.) Insert the tampon at a 45 degree angle into your vagina until your fingers touch your body.
4.) With your index finger, push the inner tube all the way into the outer tube. Withdraw the applicator with the removal string hanging outside your body.
5.) Throw away the applicator and wrapper. Do not flush.
6.) You should not feel a thing while the tampons inside you. If you feel uncomfortable, then the tampon wasn't placed far enough inside you. If so, then gently pull on the removal string in the same position that it was inserted and try again with a new one.

Have you asked your mom to buy tampons for you? They make slender ones for young girls. If you are uncomfortable wearing a pad, tell your mom. I'm sure she would understand. I say if you are old enough to have a period, you are old enough to choose what type of protection you want to use. Learning to insert a tampon is kind of a trial and error thing. You need to really use pads if you are a virgin. If you are not then putting in a tampon might feel a little uncomfortable. You can try to but be slow and careful. Ask your mom to explain if you still are having a hard time.

why does she have tampons in a pad box? that doesn't make much sence.
O good luck trying to figure it out, might I suggest you run to the store after either another box of tampons so you have the box to tell you how or some pads.

1-Read the instructions
2-If your mom does not feel comffortable with u using them their is a very good reason for it, ask her.
3-If you are a virgen it`s not a good idea to go experimenting with puting things in your vagina, you might tear your hymen (which might be what your mother fears)
4-Many people while experimenting have to visit the emergency room to get "lost" tampons removed from them, the strings can come off if you don`t use them properly

wrap the applicator in toilet paper like you would a pad and don't worry about it I am sure your mom has seen tampons before,
also don't fluch tampons they almost always cause the sewer to back up!!

I have this American girl book about changes girls go through during puberty and it will show u,it can be found at Target it helped me out,and it shows u the steps but I don't use them I use pads.The book is only $7.00 it will help u with most any questions.good luck!

Tampons are not always the best thing though, they do soak up alot of gravy!
