Hi, I just got the ring back from my ex-fiancee. Aside from any reason behind getting it back, what should I do with it? It is valued around 4 grand.

I went through that too but, I was the woman who gave it back.
It's hard because the ring represents the love that the two of you had and you odn't want anyone else to have it.
But, it is also a constant reminder of what could have been.
I thought about it long and hard............even though it wasn't my decision to make once I gave it back. I think the moral thing to do is..........sell it. You won't get as much money but, then you could give the money to a charity...........that way when you think back on it you will have the feeling as if something good came of it.

Sell it. The worst thing you could do is keep it around, because even if you're happy about the break up it will bring back painful memories. Don't even THINK about saving it for another girl- she'll find out eventually that it was your ex's ring, and bad, bad things will happen.

Obviously, you can't re-use it. Too many painful memories, no doubt. Clearly, you need to make some sort of cool, dramatic gesture: hurl it into a volcano or some sort of fault line; melt it down and then drink it; blow it up somehow; feed it to a goat. You get the picture- something with a bit of class yet finality.

I say sell it don't pawn it because they will only give you about a 100.00 for the ring I tried to pawn my ex's ring and no luck with getting at least half of the price we paid for it

I am not going to lie, but if you didnt say how much the ring did cost, i would have said you were my ex. Cause he just came and asked for the ring back. And why would you ask for it back?

You an pawn it, but you'll get significantly less for it than you paid. If you bought it within the last week or so, you may be able to bring it back to the jeweler and get either cash credit or a refund.

You may as well sell it. You wouldn't want to use the same ring for the next time round......

Go on a nice cruise with the money - who knows who you could meet.....

have it checked out, cleaned and then put it on e bay or in paper .... sell it......... you will prob not get all your money back... but look at it this way, you may find some one who is really in love and wants to buy that nice a ring for his girl but cant, and now with you selling yours he can...... or not ...... but I would for real sell it.... it is no good just sitting around..... and if you ever find another she will NOT want it...... God bless

definintly do not save it for another girl. I would have maybe the stone taken out and reset for your mom. Maybe for right now you should just keep it in safe keeping until you are sure the realtionship is over. If you wanted to marry her and she wanted to marry you at the time...something may work out over time!
