Almost nobody tells the Americans because Americans don't like to hear the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Some have tried and simply wrote their efforts off as a waste of breath.

I don't think all other countries hate Americans!
It might be the way of America's "who's got the biggest stick" attitude that gets up some peoples noses.I heard a joke 40years ago about Americans and that they were similar to mushrooms, "Big Heads, short stalks and covered in Bull****".When you realise that nearly everything shown around the world on TV comes from the states, its not a wonder that people think that westerners can just pluck money from the sky as all American homes are depicted as mansions with manicured lawns and 3 bathrooms. I think jealousy is a better word than hatred.

The dumbest answer is because they're jealous. There are many countries, like Canada and Western Europe, where life is sweet (Think South of France) and people hate the US there still. The US supports dictatorships where it fancies yet claims to be spreading freedom in other parts of the world (spreading carnage is more like it). Like any superpower before it, the US imposes its will and abuses other countries. It is more responsible than anyone else for destroying the environment too. All that while the average American is quite ignorant of anything outside its borders. Sadly and to be fair, there are more benevolence among a few American organizations and individuals than among other nationalities. However, the world only sees the US government (a disgrace) and the average obese bad dresser cocky loud American. Not only does the world punish good Americans, because they associate them with the government, but in the US, those good people are called unpatriotic!

Not Americans. Maybe... The U.S. as a whole. It is not jealousy as some patriots here say. And it is not because of Bush as some other informed people claim. It is because the United States of America is the bully kid in the block. It defens his friend. But if one of his friends do something they don't like.. then it's an enemy and tries to convice all the other kids in the block to throw stones at him.
It is not because in the U.S. there are some democratic elections, nor some freedom of speach, nor all those highly appreciated values. It is because the foreign policy seems to be disign to take control of other nations assets via favouring big multinational companies owned by high rank politicians.
All those guys are not doing all this for America. They are doing it because their pockets will grow bigger.
And to be honest, any other country in the same situation would do exactly the same and would be hated the same.

There are several reasons why America is hated...For whatever reason most people in your country are taught nothing about other countries your taught that without the US the world would not survive.....Your government promotes war...it feels that its their obligation to go into any country it pleases and start a war on the pretenses that it is for the benefit of the other country...For once i think the US should deal with the issues of their own people and maybe your country would be better off

Its not as simple as hating an entire country, people hate American foreign policy and the self righteous Ideals that kill thousands of people around the world on a yearly bases, Put an every day American person in front of a lot of these people and they would probably be friendly.

Some do, some don't, why do some Americans hate people from other countries?

1. Other countries hate USA because they are the richest country in the world with the strongest military force and technology.

2. These other countries hate USA also because they always mind their problems and it annoys them.

3. Other countries are jealous of USA because America has laws that protect people, example: America's Constitution has the Freedom of Speech. Do other countries have that in their laws???

4. Other countries hate USA because they can't live in America due to immigration laws.

A complicated question with many answers. I think one of the biggest reasons can be tied to the current situation in Iraq. Many people view the United States as being this 'big bully' imposing it's will on everyone. Also, it can be argued that the U.S. makes 'rules' for other countries but doesn't follow these same set of standards.

Because America is a very very rich country. While we can buy practically anything we want, and have entertainment sources like ice cream shops, and movie theaters, (stuff that isn't a necessity in life) they barely have the money to buy food, much less a MOVIE TICKET or a TOY. It's not that they hate us, it just gets them jealous and mad that while they're scrambling for pennies to buy food, we've got well over what we need, and much more.
