Perhaps Republicans want the next president to be a Democrat, because being in control has made them go out of control, can conservatives cope with so much power?
Republicans can't seem to control much of anything except perhaps breaking every law they can think of. Do you think they want Democrats to win control of the house of representatives, the senate and the White House so they can began to work on the real problems in our country?
If Bill Clinton could pay the bills of Reagan and Bush, Sr., don't you think he will be a great advisor to Hillary as the next President?
Or, do you think another Republican as President can pay down the national debt, explain all the corrupt activity of the Bush Administration, fix education, health care, work to solve serious environmental issues, illegal immigration and illegal employers, get our troops out of Iraq, and clean up the mess George W. Bush has made of the USA?
Libral conservatives thinking of switching to the Democrat party?

Republicans are liars and thieves, or didn't you know that? The war was created to Bush and Rumsfeld could become rich. I thought the concept was simple.

Typical Republican responses... YOU GUYS SUCKED... SO WE CAN TOO...
So... Clinton sucked, so that gives Bush the right to suck too?
This isn't the third grade and this isn't tit-for-tat... you have a job to do... and you aren't doing it... your party historically has a base in fiscal responsibility and you make the democrats look like penny-pinchers... the republican party is fracturing over these issues... but you don't care, just blame Clinton... everyone will buy it... (it's not enough anymore)
Oh and yes Clinton sure didn't know what he was doing... this Bernake guy that Bush nominated is doing a bang up job... what is it... down 200 just on Monday?
The debt is on pace to double before Bush is done... that's a fact that no one can hide from...

I can only answer your second question. The orginal plan was for Iraq to pay for its own rebuilding through their profits from oil . Unfortunately, the oil fields are not a secure battlefield, thus the goal for Iraq to pay for itself failed.
I can give input on your other question only. It depends on how you look at things. First off, I believe that we can't pay our bills is because of the lack of fiscal responsibility up on Capitol Hill. Most of the blame goes to Congress for not acting aggressively against high and unreasonable spending. They are responsible for the lack of communication due to the Republican dominance in both houses.
A lot of the blame goes to the President too. He is responsible for the approving a faulty war plan, of not vetoing any unreasonable spending bill, and not getting his administration under control.
Given this, the blame does not spread to Republicans only, but all politicians. There is no blame that goes to one person or one party. It goes to all: the House, Senate, Bush and his administration, and Clinton and his administration. There are many factors that contribute to our problem today, thus my position cannot only blame one.

Bush W is paying Clinton's bills... Inaction from WTC bombing in 93 paid back on 9-11, Clinton ignored Allen Greenspan's warning about the stock market in 98, and did nothing to curb spending,(though is NOT Clinton's fault the market crashed) Just as the next will have to deal with Bush's and congresses stupidity in trusting Chalabi about WMD's in Iraq.
How much of those things you mentioned were dealt with when Clinton was president? When Carter was president?
You will have to learn someday that politicians (BOTH PARTIES) don't care about you, they care about two things...votes and MONEY.

We won't pay down the debt by cutting taxes. Both parties break the law. The hell with this BS "two-party" system, we need viable third-party choices to put up real solutions, not bandaids.

Why did Clinton mount that intern on his desk? Why did he let Bin Laden get away? Why didn't he do anything to counter terrorism?

Politicians are all the same: they want their own benefit. They'll play that way until nothing's left.
