Yes, you are legally able to work. Whether someone will hire you is another issue. The law says:

A child 14 or 15 years of age may not work more than eight hours in one day or more than 48 hours in one week. A child who is 14 or 15 years of age and is enrolled in a term of a public or private school may not work between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. on a day that is followed by a school day or between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m. on a day that is not followed by a school day.

A child who is 14 or 15 years of age and is not enrolled in summer school may not work between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m. on any day that school is recessed for the summer.

Try fast food places, especially McDonald's. If you can't get that kind of job, you could always consider yard work or babysitting, the perennial standbys for 14 year olds.

ok im just going to have to contradict the person that said that its fifteen going on sixteen in most states. Most states, as of two years ago to the best of my knowledge resquire a person to be 13 in order to work idk if you are aware about caddying at golf courses, thats y the usual limit is 13. I believe you can work if you're 13 except for farms, factories, and other industrial situations.

NO...in most cases (99% of the time) you have to be 17, but it depends on the employer and a signed release form from your parents.

Probably but you shouldn't, the man will strike you down and say you're old before your time. When you're 62 you will say 'I wish I'd enjoyed my youth, and not worked... I wish that indeed'
