A friend of mine found a blackbird had flown into her conservatory today, got itself in a panic but when she offered it to leave through the door it walked out to the step and flew away. I would normally be able to analize it myself but am struggling with this one. Any ideas?

Analysis! I'll treat it like a poem...

A single Magpie is a bringer of sorrow. To stay safe, you must salute it... but this bird was so keen to cause harm, it actually came into your friend's house- perhaps there was some greater power inside the dwelling though, because the bird realised that, in the act of starting a sorrow spell on her, it was in trouble itself, as it couldn't work out how to escape, for whatever reason.

When she opened the door for the bird, it was a kindness for one who had meant to do wrong. The magpie walked out the door on it's own accord, partly as a sign of humility and gratefulness, and partly as a sign of penance to lift the misfortune. It came to cause trouble, but found trouble- released, it was shamed, and took back the negativity it had intended to leave with your friend as it itself left.

That's my best stab at reading the sign... out of the poetry, veracity, like a searchlight shining through smog... just perhaps...

well obviously the bird is a rencarnated soul of a conservitory sales man, although this theory is destroyed by the fact that it left when it was asked to. So it is also possible that it's little brain is still capable of seeing a great big open door and thinking "way out" I'm more worried about why your friend was talking to the bird.

I think you need to stop trying to find the hidden meaning in things. The poor bird flew in and realized he/she couldn't remember how it got there. When the bird saw the open door, he/she just walked out. Nothing more, nothing less.

A magpie is very very clever bird.
They enter buildings all the time.
Leave a window open with something shiney on display and you could well have a visit.

Your answer is not where you think it is.
Let your sorrow just go wihtout try to lead it

Everything have a way out you will not be the right person to give the directions.

All I know is that seeing one magpie is considered bad luck. I have been seeing lots of single magpie's recently and my luck has been horrendous.

one for sorrow.
two for joy,
three for a girl and four for a boy,
five for silver,
six for gold,
seven for a secret never to be told,
eights a wish, nine a kiss.....
