Is it the distance or your real feeling for him that makes you want to forget him? It's quite amazing to note that you broke up because he moved to a distant place. I would say that the kind of relationship you had with him was not too deep to be easily endedl And that makes it easier for me to advise you to tell him the real score. Telling him the truth about your feelings for him without usiing distance as the reason for your not taking him back will do him good. It will hurt him the more if you'll use distance as the factor behind your refusal to rekindle your relationship. But if I am wrong, if you love him still, let not distance deprive you of your happiness to love him and be loved by him in return. Sometimes, it's even more exciting to be away from your loved one because being together for so long a time breeds too much familiarity which in turn may lead to boredom with each other. Search your heart and soul first before you decide to tell him your real feeling which you alone have to answer for yourself. If you don't love him anymore, tell him that it's better for both of you to be special friends. If you do, take him back and be happy in each other's arms again. Then let the future, not the distance between you, decide your love's destiny. Smile!

I was in a similar situation like that....well sort of. I broke up with this guy and he just wouldn't leave me alone and stop telling me how nobody cares about him. All I did was just tell him to quit being such a baby about it all. In your case, just tell him straight forward that it won't work out. It may take a while but that is the best I can think of.
As far as long-distance relationships go...personally, I don't think long-distance relationships are terrible. I have a boyfriend in Missouri and I'm on the western coast of the country and everyhthing is going perfectly. Plus, I learned that absence makes the heart grow fonder!

that is not love! you didn't love him. If you loved him, you and him will have to work out all the hardships to be with each other. The long distance relationship isn't a problem. So, since you didn't love him, then just come out straight and tell him so, don't just beating around the brushes and hurt the man's heart.

Lizzy, juss keep urself super buzy! Avoid the guy incase u feel its not worth having him around. This guy seems to be the possessive types, so be careful, he 'might' turn voilent incase u are harsh with him, hence...IGNORING is best in such cases, dont worry, he'll stop bothering you in a few weeks. Good luck and stay safe!

You'll have to be cruel.
Tell him it is over, it is done and you don't want to see him ever again. Tell him that his emails will just go in the trash, his phone messages will be deleted and you will block him in instant messanger.
You MUST force him to sever because he obviously isn't doing it.

Stick to ur guns and don't give in - but don't play games either (i.e. like get a boyfriend to "sho" him it's over or telling u have one when u don't) - games only add fuel to the fire. And when he comes into town - get gone!

I think the best thing for you to do is tell him how you feel in a nice way.

Get a new man, anyone will do, and flaunt him at this guy next time he comes around.
