No, no, no, first off, you probably do not have a saw called a cast cutter, and could cut yourself. Second, can you tell me how to treat a limb that has been casted and newly healed for 6 weeks? What are the precautions for new callous formation? What about that muscle atrophy? Plus, what about the skin desquamation you'll see? Don't know what those phrases means? Go to the doctor.....
But it the end, it's your decision. be aware though, that if you do this, something goes wrong, you may find it difficult to find another doctor to treat you since you are "noncompliant" meaning you do not follow directions. Whoever casted it sure won;t be available for any of your phone calls....

NOT OK!! it takes more than 2 weeks for a bone to heal, honey. It may feel fine with the support of the case, but I promise you when that cast comes off, it will be weak and painful. Ask your doctor if you can go to a removable splint-type cast if it's bothering you that much. you don't want to mess up that wrist. Keep the cast on and ask the doc how to deal with it.

Only if you don't ever want to use that hand again.
Best to check and see. It may feel fine until you start using it and realize that the bones aren't properly aligned, or that your muscles have atrophied and you need therapy, or that there's a deeper underlying condition.
Don't be afraid. Best case scenario is that the doctor cuts off the cast, says you're the picture of health, and wishes you well.

I did the same thing and my wrist is fine. It is better to go to the doctor but i guess if your like me and don't have insurance then i guess it really depends on how bad the break was.
