My brother had a Siamese cat that would go up into the attic where his wife stored balls of yarn for knitting and bring one down. He would then put it in his feeding bowl to eat while he was eating. After he drank water he would put the yarn in the water bowl so it could drink, and when he used the litterbox he took his yarn friend too. When the yarn friend would get nasty my brother would take it away from him. When the cat noticed it was gone he would just go get another one. This continued until the cat passed away. He was buried with a clean yarn friend.

I was sitting on my couch holding my cat and I noticed he was staring intently at something on the armrest, but I didn't see anything. I held very still. He was really tense and he looked like he was watching something moving. I started freaking out because I thought maybe it was a spider so I moved my arm suddenly. My cat FLIPPED. The next thing I knew, he was eye-level with me, hovering in the air for what seemed like a minute before coming back down to earth and licking himself in an embarrassed sort of way.
I had red marks on my legs from his claws, but it was hilarious.
The Moral of this story is:
Don't frighten your cat unless you want him to use you as a launchpad.

Well, I have two:
One cat was climbing on my shelf in the closet and lost his balance and fell right through a hanger. He couldn't get it off and had to walk around with a pink plastic hanger stuck around his abdomen until I rescued him. But that wasn't until after I took a picture!
The other was a really fat cat that I used to have. She would lean against the wall and pull her stomach up to her mouth with her paw to clean herself! Oh, and she would snort while she was cleaning herself! She would also fall asleep in the recliner and drool all over the arm all the time. She was a mess but very sweet!

Our black lab jumps in the pond and ducks his head underwater and paws at the bottom until he dislodges a rock, and then jumps out and carefully selects a spot to put his rock.
He also enjoys sleeping with his stuffed black cat!

I had a dog who loved the movie 'Homeward Bound.' He was only interested in the animal scenes and he'd get so excited he'd run around and sniff behind the tv. He also stared at himself in the mirror for long periods. :-)

When I was a teenager I had a cat that would sit on a footstool and wait for my brother's dog to pass by. When she passed, cat would jump on dog's back and ride her down the hall.

My grandma died in her apartment while my family and I was on vacation.
It was like a week after we got back that we figured out something was wrong. Sure enough she had been dead like 12 days and her jack russlle (Jeffrey) started to eat her because he hadn't been fed.
So cute.

we smoked a phatty in our tent and our dog jumped up, ran around the tent four or five times without stopping at full speed, came back in, and energetically went to sleep.
