Because WE make it like it is.
WE have free will, the free will to make the best decision we can in regards to all around us. But, people only think about what is the best for them and what is more convenient to them. They don't care about others pain, worries or thoughts. I say if we would all learn to forgive and to really treat others as we would like to be treated then this world would be a better world. Our thoughts are always negative when we should only think positive thoughts. Being positive makes everything better even if it doesn't look good. If we would start emphasizing on the positive of situations and not dwell on all the negative I think humanity would be more powerful-- in a good way.

Everything on Earth changes the world, in extremely small or extremely large ways. That combined creates the world. Perhaps a very small group of people on the Earth decided to invade a country because they wanted oil, this created a massive change because a good deal of people in the world knew about it. Or perhaps someone bought you a sandwich. This would make you happy and then, because you were happy, went on to finishing all of the work you had to do and got to take the weekend off, a weekend where you would invent a revolutionary robot that would get sandwiches, a robot that would work only in your mind and would fail miserably in all of the tests, so you finally just decided to try to sell your design to a company and asked for your pay in a lot of sandwiches.

The world is following the mandates of Murphy's Law as mandated by the all-encompassing 2nd Law of Thermodynamics (AKA:Entropy).

Two scientific facts my dear man.
1. The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics states that the quality of all energy in the Universe is degraded irreversibly....the inexorable death of the universe is not only predicted, its mandated by entropy.

2. It's an astonomical surety that our Sun will supernova in a billion years, leaving the earth a burned crisp...

The thought that by the very nature of entropy the ultimate and only possible future for man is annihilation has infiltrated our culture like a paralysis. "How is it possible to understand life when the entire world is ordered by a law such as the second principle of thermodynamics, which points to death and annihilation?" This is what philosphers since the early Greek days have been wondering...

When we ask questions like this the best place to look for answers is ourselves. I had a highschool teacher once who said "If every millionaire gave one percent of their money to profit every year, they could cure the world of poverty. Do you think they should?" A lot of people said yes. But I thought, just because they are millionaries and I am not, does that mean I get to be exempt from sacrificing in order to save the world. What is everyone gave one percent of their earnings? The world is the way it is because we allow it to be. Everday we can make a difference, but most us choose not to. We continue to buy clothes made by starving children and watch tv that fills us with lies and garbage. We throw away left overs and swear at drivers when we are on our way to work at a factory that fills the skies with posion. We spend our spare time on web sites asking and answering pointless questions. I am just as guilty as you. The world is the way it is because of you and me and the person next to you and next to me and, well you get the idea. So if you don't like it, change it, cuz you can.

The world is like this because no one respects anyone or anything anymore! I'm hoping that my childrens generation will undo all the wrong doings in this crazy mixed-up world. I know it's a lot to ask but someone has to start to make a change and it is not going to be my generation!

someday when i was in 9th grade (i think) a friend of mine asked the teacher, y god make us like this, why not like a bottle or bread loaf or something like this, he simply answered, son if u think about it ull find this shape is the best shape the human can be on, if someone else thought about it, he may find this is the worst shape

returning to ur question, i think some people are very glad to be in the world like this, and others are very abused and sad

but always look for good things and u will find them
so simply the answer is: ((((u make ur own world))))

i think no one see what u see, so no answer will be suitable for this question

It depends do you think it is bad or good. in the good way there is a lot of awesome things like my girlfriend sunshine and beer. but in g the bad ways there are a lot of bad things too like my girlfriend, war, not enough sleep, dentists and not enough beer.
At its best and worst at least it is interesting and that is alright with me.

Just trying to make you laugh and that is what you should do at the world because it is a great place even if it rains sometimes.

be cool

This is how god wants it to be. I ask this to myself every time i watch the news. I also ask this question when im having one of the few best days of my life. This could be a positive and negative question. The world is like this is because it is MEANT to be like this. It depends on how a person looks at it.

The world is like it is, because of the people and things that help form this world. People can improve or ruin the world. The world is like a huge ball of good and bad.

Because people forget about the Creator...they think they can do it all alone, and if they acknowledged the Creator the world would not be the way it is now. They need to put prayer back in school...and read what the money says "In God We Trust"...
