Could be biceps femoris, semitendinosis or semimembranosus. Which side is it on (inner or outer)? You can look at an online atlas of human anatomy to find out. One link is given below.

Best treatment for tight, sore tendons: warmth (water bottle in a towel), gentle massage, exercise (starting with slow, gradual exercise, then gradually increasing it as the soreness decreases).

In response to "G had" above, the answers listing "biceps" are correct. Maybe you should look at an anatomy book. The biceps femoris, semimembranosus, and semintedinosus are the three muscles of the hamstrings, located in the back of the thigh. They originate at the hip and insert at the knee.

The "biceps" you are thinking of is the biceps brachii in the arm. Know the subject you are commenting on before correcting someone who does.

Sorry - you should be able to find this out easily - hint... ignore the answers refering to the biceps!!!

If you're studying just search human body and muscles and memorise them all (easy marks)!!
