Well, it should be something that you're interested in. I like boobs. That would be an interesting topic for me, but I'm not so sure about you.

Here's a list of important things

The genocide in Africa
Unadopted children in America or anywhere in the world
Corruption in the Church
Endangered Species(any of them would make a good speech)
Rain Forests
Any kind of scam, employment and donation
Breast Cancer
Colon Cancer
Any Cancer and causes and effects
Obesity
Child Obesity
Pedephelia in youth programs
Pedephelia in general
Men abusing women
Affirmative action
Wars in the middle east
Palestinians and Israelies(like in the movie Munich)
Shark Attacks
Explore Cults
Scientology is a good one
Abortion(contraversial)
FDA(how are drugs getting out that are causing people to die and they don't find out about it till years later, maybe search deadly medicinal drugs or something)
Sex(you can get creative with this one, what makes people have it, and or what are the effects, and or are people sexually repressed, and or why is pornography such a big industry)
Kiddy Porn(very important topic)
*Pedephelia among Policemen(* because hardly anyone knows about that)
You could also do different types of pop-culture like Trekkies or Star Wars Geeks, or Cults, or
Effects of Media(or specifically TV., news, magazines, newspaper)
Corruption in media
*DO A SPEECH ABOUT THE NEW SUPERMAN MOVIE COMING OUT JUNE 28TH!!!!(PLZZZZZZ)!!!!!

Some good fact or fictions might be:
UFO's
Alien abductions
Cryptozoology(any unknown animals)
Global Warming

A good speech has to be engaging. You must try to give them something new whether you're giving them a subject that they're unaware of or have very little knowledge, or if you're shedding new light on a known topic. The best way is just to ask yourself questions that you do not know the answers to and find the answers. Mostly, people will be as surprised to know these things as you, or they will be extremely pleased that you made notice of them. If someone has taken the time to study up on global warming, they obviously are interested in the subject. It's also good to give an unexpected speech to someone who's got knowledge on a subject because they're flattered that you're talking about their subject. As with me, if you did a speech about Superman, though you might not be able to give me much information that I'm not aware of, I'd be very content with the simple fact that you took time to talk about something I'm so interested in, so don't worry that you're information is not indepth enough. You will either completely insight your crowd or flatter them. Good Luck.

There are soooo many topics you could write about in this world. It all depends on what kind of speech it has to be. If it's a debating speech you can write about the controversial gay marriage ammendment President Bush is trying to get passed. If it's a how to speech you can do it on how to bake or cook something. The possibilities are endless! Don't fret. That only makes people blank out and obscure their thinking. Don't think too hard.

My favorite speech or debate topic is free speech. I think you might be able to determine my opinion on it. :-)

Things from current events are always good. Like..... Should "Reverend" Phelps and his small army gay-bashing fascist idiots be allowed to protest military funerals? Is it.... Free speech? :-D

Should the government be allowed to monitor our international phone calls and domestic phone records, or does that intrude on.... Free speech?

Fining TV and radio stations obscene amounts of money for language and behavior that is clearly within the bounds of common decency in the country as a whole, or is their free speech being violated?

Speaking of that, who determines what is "decent" and acceptable in this country? Why are they so accepting of deplorable horriffic violence and so frightened by butts and boobs?

OK, I've gone from trying to help give speech topics to ranting. I apologize. Have a nice day.

I can't suggest exactly what to do without knowing criteria and what you've already done. However if I need an idea for this type of thing and I can't think of one I normally just search opinion sites until I find something unusual.
