Shouldn't the correct terms be pro-choice and anti-choice. Because that's what its all about, whether you have a choice or you don't.

Ok, seems I need to add some details. The issue at hand is whether or not the woman should have a choice in determining whether to have an abortion of not. The "pro-life" argument doesn't hold much water because the same pro-lifers are also pro-capital punishment. On the contrary the pro-choice people are against capital punishment. Clearly the pro-choice people are NOT anti-life.

One more detail: a fertilized egg is NOT a fetus. It is an embryo and it becomes a fetus only after the 8th week of pregnancy: that is when the formation of all major organs are complete and the embryo becomes a fetus.

The terms should be "anti-abortion" and "pro-reproductive-choice". The term "pro-abortion" would be incorrect, because it would imply that those people think that all women should have abortions, when in reality they think that a woman should have a choice when it comes to reproduction- yes, even if her choice is to keep and raise the baby.

All depends..
The one called "pro-choice" puts a woman's right to choose whether or not to carry a baby to term first. It states that a fetus has no rights until it takes its first independent breath.
The other "pro-life" feel that life starts at the moment of conception, therefore to abort a fetus would be murder. They feel that a child-no matter how young-
has the right to life.
Both are for choice. Just different choices.

"Pro Choice" would allow a woman to choose whether or not another life is ended.

It's easy to be for abortion rights when you're not the one getting killed.

When a woman becomes pregnant, there are two people involved - not one. This fact is not changed, whether this is the opinion of a man or a woman.

If a woman/young girl doesn't want her baby, it's a blessing for adoptive parents waiting in line for a baby to take into their homes. I've know three couples who wanted to adopt, and had to wait, and wait, and wait, because there are so few babies put up for adoption.

Adoption lets everybody live.

Because neo-cons and those blinded and brainwashed into total disregard for others based on religious principles are not endowed with brains, but with a pack mentality. It's depressing that some people can believe that it is better for a child to be raised in a poor, abusive environment than to allow the mother facing such a life to prevent a child from entering it. It is a shame to negate the life of the fetus, but sometimes it is for the good of the child.

Actually, I think the term "pro-choice" is a liberal term. And you could play that either way depending on your beliefs. On the other side of your question conservatives could say, "shouldn't it be pro-life or anti-life"...
It all just depends on what you believe and how you feel about it.

I don't understand why so many people in the US are anti-choice. Here in Denmark we've had free abortion since the early seventies. I think it's a human right.

They're meant to be mutually exclusive. It just sounds more positive to be "pro" something than "anti" something.
