I fell in love with man I met online, shortly after meeting him (in person). We've been incredibly happy ever since.
However, if this guy doesn't want to remove his profile, it's because he's still looking, which suggests he's not that into you. If he says he barely reads his email, there's a good chance he's not telling the truth, considering it takes very little effort to remove a profile. Nobody's that lazy.
This sounds like lust, dear. You may have strong feelings for him, but he doesn't have feelings strong enough for you to give up the "fishing." I'd say move on and find someone who would do anything to devote his attention to you and will leave the dating sites well alone.

It's all a fantasy. It's lust. Nobody falls in love with someone's personality...it all starts off with the talk and the way the person looks to you. Beware honey. I was on a chat line once and took a trip to meet a guy and when he left for work the next morning...his wife came home!!! Be careful!!!

If you are questioning it, then you obviously have trust issues. Keep him as an internet friend. See how things go down the line. There's no rush is there and you wouldn't want to put yourself in danger by pushing the matter since you don't know him too well.
Good luck with whatever you decide.

I met my now husband in a chat room, neither of us were looking for love. Although everyone was against us starting a relationship, we followed our hearts. I was living in HI and him i WI. We went on a "blind date" in Vegas. Move in with eashother 6 weeks later. After 7 years and 3 children, we couldn't be happier. All I can say is that everyone is different. You have to follow your heart and protect it at the same time. Good luck to you.

It sounds like you don't trust him.
You should at least meet him again to see if it was infatuation or the real thing.
I met my hubby of 7 years online and it is the best relationship I have ever had.
