Use FOIL
(3 - 2sqrt3)^2
(3)(3) + (3)(-2sqrt3) + (-3sqrt3)(3) + (-2sqrt3)(-2sqrt3)
= 9 - 6sqrt3 - 6sqrt3 + 4*3
= 21 - 12sqrt(3)

-3 because 3 squared is 9 and you have to square 2 and the square root of 3 so 2 squared is 4 and square root 3 squared is 3 so you have to multiply 3 times 2 and you get 12 . 9-12=-3

I take that to be (3 minus twice the square root of 3) squared.
If so, then the exact answer would be 21-12(square root of 3).
The decimal approximate would be .215390309
Peace out.
If different than what I assumed, explain further. I will "Watch List" and check back.

(3 - 2sqrt(3))^2
(3 - sqrt(12))^2
(3 - sqrt(12))(3 - sqrt(12))
9 - 3sqrt(12) - 3sqrt(12) + (sqrt(12))^2
9 - (3 + 3)sqrt(12) + 12
(9 + 12) - 6sqrt(12)
21 - 6sqrt(12)
21 - 6sqrt(4 * 3)
21 - 12sqrt(3)
