erm... Africans are Africans. That's all from me! I love everyone but hate the way that a lot of people associate Africa with blacks. White people come from Africa too!

Oh, and to the guy above me, not all of the problems in that continent are the Africans' fault, you know. (I'm British so don't slate me for this) I think greedy Brits are also to blame as throughout history we've plundered places like Africa, robbing them of their resources and leaving them the way they are today. Even now they're getting paid peanuts for what little they have left so don't blame it all on the guys who live there.

I think your use of the word "Africans" is offensive and you might want to tone that down a little. I think you might mean "African Americans" and in that case you still probobly should not post questions about them with "dont be afraid to express yourself". Just a thought. Segregation is over.

Africans have not made a very good showing, in general. They seem to squander their resources fighting endless bloody wars. Nelson Mandela has created a state that is AIDS ridden and poverty stricken. The Rhodesians are as bloody and racist as anyone you can imagine. Ethiopia and Somalia seem to have a policy of causing their citizens and anyone who tries to help, maximum suffering. The Masai and Moroccans seem to be the only people in Africa who have their sh!t in one sock.

Quite different than the picture painted by American blacks who are resentful they were torn from the homeland and can't get back.

what do you mean? All people are the same. The only difference is the amount of melanoma that is in your skin, which comes from your exposure to the sun. There are white Africans and Black Africans. I see them the same as I see my Latinos, White, and Black friends. And that is equal. How do you see them? No question is a dumb question, just the ones that are not asked.

please note that not all africans are what people understand (or see in their heads) when this word is mentioned.
the entire north 1/4 or more of africa is occupied by white peoples(or brown or whatever , no big lips or nostrils or black color)
so if you are talking about the subsaharan africa i really think this is an issue worth discussing on many accounts.
#1 the failure of science to prove that any civilisation (i mean one involving making useful stuff, not just carvings and drawings)no such civilisation ever arose amidst our shadowy brothers,inspite of the continent being really one of the richest in the world.
#2 their constant lust for chaos and killing and rape and sex and aids(hiv) and immigration to western countries to marry old ugly european or american women and give them more children to repeat the cycle.
#3 the fact that although the blacks lived in the bosom of one of the greatest civilisatons (USA)and yet failed to produce a more than modest contribution to humanity(scientists?writers?leaders?artists?) , disproportionate to their numbers.(this rules out the idea that something in africa might be the problem)
#4the statistics about how many criminals there are in every ten blacks in america , which i will leave to you to cite.

God, did we (Europeans) screw you guys over royally. Slavery, colonialism, unfair trade arrangements. And now we're not doing anything about this turgid bloody mess that's perpetuated in the power vacuums that are left.

Most afrikans I've met have been intelligent, wonderful, caring, funny, enjoyable people with a deep desire to do well in the world. That said, I've never been to Afrika and so have only met exchange students, mostly.
