Adventureland is in Des Moines but I was wondering if there was another place you can buy your tickets or do you have to buy them at the gates.

From what I can tell from the website, you can only purchase tickets at the park. If you really wanted to find out the answer I would suggest calling the park (515-266-2121 or 800-532-1286) directly and asking them. As I am not from the area I am not certain about being able to purchase passes nearby, however from my experience with my local park you can purchase tickets at a Blockbuster Video or even pharmacies.
