I'll go with the just rich. Fame is a pain; you have no privacy, and you totally lose your anonymity - unless, of course, you go on Yahoo! Answers, make up a name for yourself, and put on a smiley picture. Then, no one will know who you are! ...until you reach level 7 and have everyone who looks up your profile go, "Whoa!" :)

I'd rather be rich than rich & famous.

If I was rich I would endeavor to be invisibly rich: I'd live comfortably, set-up trust funds for my family and either start some sort of endowment and/or charitable organization or become aligned with from one-three charitable organizations.

No matter what though, I'd remain behind the scenes and shun the public, as a rich guy. However, I'd ride public transportation and walk around town like a derelict to learn what's really going on!

If you had to ask that question, then you have no idea what you are asking about, therefore any answer is at best to you, other people's speculation. Why don't you ask an actual rich or famous and rich person this instead of the general public.

having wealth would be good for some but not all when you ask this question most people think about the things they would be able to buy, no one ever considers things like the maintenance of having all that money, or the taxes associated with it. then you add fame to the mix and your entire situation becomes more intense. saying and doing the correct things for that moment. and not to mention if you having a bad day! the press would eat you alive for things you take for granted now. I would prefer to have a good job that keeps me comfortable and people around me that are genuine. Rich and famous and just plain rich have downfalls that most will never see until they have to deal with it.

Just rich. I wouldn't want the pressures of being famous, being "closed in" and all. I don't envy celebrities, they must hate it sometimes not being able to go out like normal people without being followed by fans 24/7, the paparazzi and those damn tabloids.

Yeah just rich this way I can do what I want and keep my identity anonymous.
