then offer to let her kick you in the nuts.
if she's not bruised, offer to take her to dinner to make it up to her. nice excuse to get a date with a hot girl, right?

I wouldn't use humor until you get a feel for her disposition. If she makes a joke about it, fine, then go for it. But first, I would just call to say I am concerned and hope you are okay; then let her talk a little and listen to her with empathy. If the humor fits in, fine, but let her set that tone just in case she is angry about it.
BTW, what was the original reaction? If she didn't show anger then, that is a good sign that she isn't going to blame you for an accident.
You might, as an alternative, consider sending a "Get Well Soon," card.

Okay When I was your age I got hit in the face with a baseball by a guy. he brought me some flowers and sat and talked to me for a while. but you have to remember that I had to go to the hospital and wear this thing around my face for months that summer. I was just watching the game to. So call her ask if she is okay would be a beginning

Oh man, I would be pissed! There would be no forgiving your clutzy @ss! Hopefully, she wasn't hurt that bad...accidents happen, what can you do? Just apologize profusely and offer to pay her medical bills.
