I am mexican american but i would rather be latino because i love mexico!!!

This is a very stupid question... why bother with an answer?
well here's why:
We all know Latinos IN NORTH AMERICA are in disadvantage vs. Americans living in NORTH AMERICA for many reasons, As We Speak, there are major issues revolving, about migration politics, jobs and many important stuff, so being a Latino becomes less "sexier" and more of a moral, politic, social issue.
So, is better to be an American? well that would depend of which American you what to become, a toothless redneck from Cold Mountain? or a cool high breed New York Socialite?
Or would you rather be a cool Latino, like a dancing Ricki Martin or a mamacita like Jlo instead of a hopeful immigrant crossing the Rio Bravo....
It all depends, in the end this question show us all that racism will still be an issue for many years to come.

Are they different? You can be Latino and American. Latino is a race term, and American is a nationality term.

If I were in prison, or jail, it would b4enifit to be latino. Any other situation, american. However there are Latino americans.
