Usually the new thinking of Today encourages apathy towards these historic events because it means that America and it's allies beat the enemy which is Communist and very much alive today in our Country. It's time to stomp out the Communism/Socialism being indoctrinated on our minds by lefty idealogues and the lefty MSM.

D-Day is an important day to remember in our history.
Stop being so apathetic and allowing yourself to fall for bogus ideas that are sold as trendy.

The people who fought and die in wars to kill the enemy are worth remembering for eternity. Young people today are so selfish and apathetic towards sacrifice. It's all about them.
It's too bad the veterans sacrificed so you can turn your heads away. You don't have to make some big celebration. Just a thanks in your heart is good enough.

It's those damn communists spreading this idea on young people today. Yes, America seems to be under some curse of communists since they have their claws dug into our social thinking and education.

I certainly do. I don't think either Canada or the USA do enough to remember this day. I don't understand why memorial day isn't on D-Day instead of some random day in May.

Everyone should remember the tragedy and the triumph of the storming of the beaches at Normandy.

hmm, i'm gonna have to disagree with some of the other answers, the ones going on about the apocalypse.. today WAS d-day. the invasion of normandy in WWII....
i do care. i have a lot of respect for our veterans past and present, and our soldiers currently serving. but i did not make a big effort to celebrate today or anything.

Are you talking about the invasion of Normandy? Well I guess I care. D-day signified the beginning of the fall of Hitler's Fortress Europe.

it sonds like most of you answered questions are made by a bunch of morons, d day was the turning point when the british backed by australians canadians americans landed in france to free europe from the tyranny of those loathsome creatures the nazi's (not communists as one of your answers suggests)in fact it was thanks to the communists that we won in the end,and yes i certainly care, otherwise we would all be speaking german, can you imaging that?
