Yes, usually you dont get your period when you are pregnant. If you are pregnant and bleeding it could be a problem and I would have it checked out right away.

you shouldn't get a period when you are pregnant. A period the uterus's way of flushing out the old lining it has built up for the previous month. If no embryo attaches itself, then the lining deteriorates and comes out. If there is an embryo, then it embeds itself into the lining, and a chemical signal is released to tell the body not to flush the lining. Bleeding can occur when the embryo embeds itself, but it is usually light (sometimes known as spotting). Bleeding during pregnancy at anytime is not normal, and should be seen by a doctor.

It is uncommon, but not rare. As long as the periods are lighter than usual, and not clotty, they are fine. Some women get them all the way up to when they deliver.

Theoretically, you should not be getting your period if you are pregnant. But if you do have bleeding, you should see your doctor right away. It might be no big deal, but better to be safe...

It is uncommon to have this happen and it is considered spotting. If it is happening consult your doctor immediately. You may be having a miscarriage or a tubal pregnancy.
