Water is excellent to drink in any diet plan. Most people do not drink enough water daily. Water before a meal can help you feel full sooner, thus eating less. You might be thinking of the phenomenon of water retention, but this is most commonly caused by not reducing your sodium (salt) intake. Too much salty food can encourage your body to hold water in the tissue. Cut down on salt (and check the sodium content of the foods you eat, it's on the label) and you reduce the "water weight".

No, your body needs water. Water will clean your system and does not remain in your body. Actually it is recommended to drink only water when you are trying to loose weight.

Everything in moderation...yes, you can get into serious trouble by drinking too much water...but I doubt that you will drink that much. IF you start to feel week, you may be getting very low on electorlytes...tooo much water.
