What's a REALYL GOOD song to sing at an audition?

there's an audition this saturday and i was wondering what good songs there are to sing... i really want a nice clean, and good easy/harmonzing music... any ideas? oh and something that everybody loves and knows about.... help a bro out!! :)

It depends on your vocal range & ability as to what song you should sing. You want a song that will show off your vocal talent, but not one that will strain it in anyway - that'd be terrible. What would also be good, would be to sing a song that you like - I always find that I sound better when I sing songs that I like, because I can put geniune feeling into them. Try not to pick anything really slow, but also not really fast. Something that most people would recognise too - it'll go down so much better if people know the song that you sing. Something also with not alot of instrumental in it - you want them to hear you sing, right? I would be inclined to go for something from the 60's - most of that stuff was good, sing-a-long stuff & most people would recognise it.

Without knowing you personally, it is impossible to recommend an exact title - I could type out an endless list of inappropriate songs.

I noticed that on the american idol auditions, the ones that got picked quickly were ones that picked songs that showed off their vocal range, with high notes and low notes, loud notes and quiet notes, etc. The folks that picked songs that the vocal line doesn't change much usually get an insult from simon.
