try rebooting

You delete the drivers by right clicking on the My computer icon and going to properties. From properties go to the Hardware tab then to Device manager. Next to cd/dvd drives there should be a plus sign which will show the drivers for your drives. Right click on the drive and choose "uninstall" and then restart your computer. If your drive is still not working, you probably need to replace it.

Delete it from add/remove programs and reeinstall it from the original cd. That will reset all the drivers and it should work just fine.

1) check drivers
2) use another blank CD
3) check the cables inside
4) clean CD burner
