What other problems?...

The fact that we spend billions of dollars in foreign-aid while America is rotting morally and fighting among ourselves within our own borders?

The fact that the government has not clamped down on companies and businesses outsourcing their goods and jobs overseas?

The fact that we spend millions, if not billions of dollars in Social Security and welfare on individuals who refuse to work and instead rely on Government handouts?

The fact that the federal government continues to strip the powers of the American Individual, and yet ask for MORE power in the false attempt to solve the problems of society?

The fact that the Iraq War is starting to turn into Bush's version of Johnson's Vietnam War?

The fact that the USA is no longer the dominant super-power it once was, but is being bested by China, Japan, Brazil, and Finland????

No....i don't really think so.

George W. Bush wants to focus on Gay Marriage,,,, does he care about the problems of the world,,,, 1/3 of children are born out of wedlock,,, the ceremony or sacrament of marriage has a divorce rate of approximately 50% in some studies,, spousal abuse is at an all time high,,, child abuse occurs in about 1 in every 4 children in America now, but the president wants to make sure his own vice president Dick Cheney's daughter does not have the right to marry the person she wants to marry, problems in the USA, what problems, you mean the debt the Republicans have run into eternity, the education system that is worse today than 6 years ago, the health care system that doesn't even protect our veterans from choosing between food and medicine, illegal immigrants with illegal American employers who are filled with greed, the war in Iraq that can not be justified, the real war on terrorism in Afghanistan, what problems?

OK now that we have established that the government is at fault for everything including natural disasters what are we doing about finding solutions? And please stop beating the dead horse about we can't do anything.
When is the last time you read all the proposals on a ballet?
How many town hall meeting have you attended?
When is the last time we got together as citizens and said enough.
Some seem to be stuck on gay rights personally what you do is you business but gay or straight I don't want to know what goes on in your bed room. I don't need a parade to tell whats going on in your privet life. If I judge you it will be on your inter person.
Yes everyday we have children here in the US going hungry! What are we doing about it.

I am concerned about the massive debt and unfunded obligations of the federal government. I am concerned about the erosion of the 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th amendments. I am concerned about global warming and apparent polarization of our populace. I am concerned about the educational system and our deteriorating infrastructure. And, somewhat off point, I am concerned about my Granddaughter in Afghanistan. Do we have the ability to cure all this? Sure.

People care politicians don't. So many real issues out there and they choose to discus gay marriage again? They, the two parties, are trying to divide America so they can stay in power. Keep us fighting so we don't turn on them.

I do...too bad the morons we elected don't. And I said "we"...though I don't vote for morons. But somehow morons get re-elected. I don't get it. They don't follow through the first time...yet people vote them for another term. Sometimes I wonder myself just how many people care. Judging by votes...I'd say not many do.
