Regardless of how the votes went, YES, "we" as a country elected him and he is our President. I would suggest that it was "our" apathy that got him elected personally.
Why you suggest that "we" have to be reminded I am not sure, since he is the president of a country where we have the right (and often the duty) to voice our opinions about our elected officials, INCLUDING our President.
Many have died defending this country and it's right of freedom of expression. I for one, do not take it for granted, but am offended when people suggest we cannot say anything bad about him or it is unpatriotic somehow.
I vote, that gives me the right to complain about the wrongs I see WHEREVER they are. (and yes, I also do things to try and change those wrongs, but since I am not democrat or republican, I am stuck with those candidates they give me.)

He was elected and legally so.
There has never been any proof Bush did anything illegal in either election, unlike Gore or Kerry.
Despite what lying liberals say, he was not "selected" by the Supreme Court. They just stopped Gore from stealing the election by breaking the law in the middle of the process. He did lose the popular vote but it was legal and the electoral college fulfilled its purpose of preventing dishonest politicians from buying an election from large concentrated population centers like New York. More people voted for Bush than against him, unlike Clinton with his supposed "mandate."

We've got the same problem downunder. Our nitwit is as bad as your nitwit and, do they like to cuddle! It was all the political illiterates that voted for our nitwit over here and now we can't get rid of the little twit. Meanwhile, the whole World is going to hell in a hand basket. I reckon we should start a World wide movement for the prevention of cruelty to electorates. Bush, Blair and Howard are without doubt the trilogy of the Anti-Christ and the worst thing that has happened to the western World since Hitler. God help us all. Jules, lecturer. Australia.

The hell I did! I was looking for the none of the above slot on the ballot. Besides the electoral college steals your votes and makes it easier for the money people to get in office. I would have voted for a talking monkey ,, umm scratch that we have one now

He won the popular vote & the electral vote - get over the stupid chads. If you do not know how to vote, what do you want the rest of the country to do. The only people that do not know President Bush won was the liberal media & the liberal whiners.

I know ! As a foreigner I can tell you that it's something we quite don't understand : why would you elected him i the first place, and why twice, especially if you're not happy with him !
On the other side, as a French, I can understand... we currently don't have the best president ever !
