at 40!!!! whooo yhooo!!!
this year i will be 41.
yup its good, uh uh
they say your prime is in your 30's?...
close, no cigar...
yeah ya might learn a thing or two in your thirty's ...but in your 40's ...you know what to do with it...
these are our selfish years...and that's true...
i woke up one morning and refused to go to work, to do something I didn't want to do....so...in Oct...4 months after turning forty...i had a job I LOVE!! i get up every morning..LOOKING forward to work...could i do this til retirement?,,,not a doubt.
i take time for me, i didn't used to. weeelllll more like i DEMAND time for me...i finally tried oil painting, tiling, furthering my education...all in the year
truthfully, the thirties were awesome,
but girlfriend...i can't WAIT to be 41!!!
and that's an honest answer from someone who was just in your shoes....11 months ago....feelin exactly the way you are.

There is no reason to dread it my dear. There is nothing wrong with being 40. The reason people have that saying "life begins at 40" is because you are at the best years of your life. as a child or teenager you are still growing and learning. When you hit your 20's and 30's you are still trying to find yourself. When you hit 40 you are wise and know what you want out of life and still young enough to have fun.

Life begins at the moment of conception and it certainly doesn't stop just because you are 40. Who invented this "life begins when you are 40" thing? People would say any stupid thing just to feel like they are sympathizing, when they should just sympathize. I sympathize, I'm 30 for a couple of months now. It's not easy to "change the prefix", especially for women. But you'll get over it. Obsessing about it is the worst thing to do.

I have dated women from 18 to 45 and I would take the 40's over the 20's any day... and I'm only 27.

I think that saying is right on. Think about it, by the time you reach 40 you really know what you want out of life. You've lived long enough to experience things, you've lived and learned. You've learned what's really important in life. You learn NOT to sweat the small stuff. You've learned how important TRUE FRIENDS are. You've learned not to really care what people think of you...
Happy 4-0, it's a beautiful thing....

Life begins when you are born and age is only the number of years since you were born.
So why be worried by the number 40???
Enjoy your birthday. Life rocks ;)
ps I'm 102 this year (Only kiddin')

Life technically begins before you were born. But spiritually speaking it begins when you start it! Don't be afraid of the big 4.0., you'll be better at that than you were at the big 3.0.! Enjoy it because you only live once!

40 came and went for me and I was surprised at how much it didn't faze me. Such a non-event!! I suppose I expected everything to collapse and to lose all my mental faculties overnight!! Don't worry, you'll see - 40 is the new 30!
