1)Start taking vitamins right away, walmart and target both sell generic prenatal vitamins that are inexpensive and great quality. Eat a healthy diet. To help stave off morning sickness keep something light to snack on, crackers or cereal, it will keep your metabolism up and help prevent nausea. Try not too overeat, it will only make you feel sick.
2)Make an appointment for prenatal care, find someone you are comfortable with, you will be seeing a lot of the, do not be afraid to change doctors several times if you need to before you find someone you are comfortable with.
3)Read what to expect when you're expecting another book I enjoyed was a Girlfriends guide to Pregnancy
4)get a pregnancy journal and record everything, it will be fun to read when the baby is older or you are pregnant again. Enjoy your pregnancy, it is special and it will go quickly *(except for the last 4 weeks, which will seem to take forever)
12 wks- you will hear the heartbeat
18wks- you will get a sonogram and probably find out the sex . They will usually give you pictures or a video to take home, this may be a good time to start a baby book. Your clothes may start feeling uncomfortable even though you are not showing yet, now is a good time to start investing in your maternity wardrobe.
24 wks- you will feel the baby move and probably begin to show (keep your skin moisturized, cocoa butter is awesome for preventing stretch marks.)
30wks-baby feels like a gymnast in there
37-40 weeks hello baby.
You will see your obgyn every month until the seventh month, then it will be every 2 weeks until week 36, then it will be evry week until delivery.
Congratulations, Mommy and good luck.

OK first...get out of yahoo.com and get to Amazon.com...buy yourself the book "what to expect when you're expecting"
I'm 21 weeks pregnant with my first and I was the same way...that book has been my bible!
Also...go to www.babyzone.com and set up a free account there too...they send you weekly updates and tell you everything that is happening to you and to baby and explain what you may be feeling and how to deal with it...it's a really good site.
But before you do any of that...call your gyno and make an appointment...he/she will give you your first ultrasound when they see fit ...it totally depends on the health of your pregnancy and kind of insurance you have and all that...I've had three ultrasounds already...and I'm only half way done...usually you only have two through the whole pregnancy.
If you want to go to the healthfood store or the drug store...they sell decent prenatal vitamins there ...you should start taking them right away...you can always switch to the prescription vitamins that your doctor will prescribe you when you see him/her.
You won't get to find out what the sex is untill at the earliest 16 or 17 weeks...most likely they'll wait until even later than that...like 20+
For now...go get some vitamins and talk to your doctor...your first appointment will be an exam, a pap smear, a breast exam and then a ton of medical history questions...they'll take your weight and blood pressure and thats about it...
Remember that some of the earliest symptoms of pregnancy are an upset stomach and constipation...remember to drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits and veggies...especially after you start those vitamins...because of the iron in them ...you'll really need the extra water and fiber to keep from getting "stopped up"...lol
Congratulations, Remain Calm and good luck! :)
Oh also...go buy Palmer's Strech Mark Prevention Cream...it's got coco butter in it and it will help stop itchy skin and strech marks! ITs great stuff!

You should contact your Dr ASAP, your Dr will probably give you an ultrasound right away to verify how far you really are and your due date. Start taking vitamins right no. Go to wal-mart or walgreens and pick up some Flintstones and folic acid until you get your Dr apt to get your prenatal vitamins. You should be able to find out if it is a girl or boy on your ultrasound if you wish.

You should go for a first prenatla exam with your doctor. You should be taking the prenatal vitamins already. Sometimes you don't need an ultrasound. Go to the Doctor and they will tell you what you need to do

You need to make an apointment to see a doctor. They will put you on a schedule and give you all the information you need. You can also check out the book "What to expect when your expecting". It has tons of info for each month. I loved it when I was pregnant.
