ok so my ex and i had a 5 month relationship and then we broke up. We decided to be friends and it was working out. Then he met this girl and they were dating for a while and his gf wanted to go on double dates. He purposed to her on her birthday and after a while he completely stopped talking to me. For like four months and then they broke up recently and i was talking to her about it cuz she was hurt. then out of nowhere he calls me and is like i want you back your the only girl who understands me and all that stuff. i was wondering if u would take ur bf/gf if they ask to get back with you

If he recently proposed to someone else and then ended up in a break-up, I wouldn't trust what he's saying right now. He is hurt and needs a comfortable place to fall back to... and you're it. Let him know that now isn't the right time. If you still really like him, try being close as friends again and maybe eventually it will lead to something else. But for now, I'd say be wary.

You know maybe he does love you and maybe he does want to genuinely be with you, but be friends for now and see where it goes. If it is that he finds a new girl then you know he was just playing with you and wanted a "fix for now" if it is that he sticks around and waits on you, then it was probably meant to be. Besides, he was engaged at one point, so right now he is on a rebound, be a friend and not the rebound girl.

Sounds like he is on the rebound. Either that or he is indecisive. Either way, no I would not take him back just yet. Wait until you know for sure if he is really in love with you and over this other girl.

have you ever herd of 1st love? it's very real. the way i see it, he cannot move on because his love still burns for you. Think about it properly before you consider getting back with him though: reminisce about the reason why you both broke up; and ask yourself if you still love him. if it all boils down to you still wanting him back too, then go ahead and get with him. I would get back....

It depends. DO YOU WANT TO GET BACK WITH HIM? If you still love him then say yes. If you want to move on, tell him. Don't feel any sort of pressure to go back to him.

it kinda depends on how much u liked/loved him or what not
i would take mine back because he just used me and so he wouldnt have to be single and i quit taking him back but if i recently broke up with my boyfriend right now i would take him back
