It's not so much who made royalty who they are, as what. What made royalty who they are is the sword. The big big sword swung repeatedly at anyone fool enough to question their rule. Sure they were normal people with big big swords once. Nowadays, they'd only be normal in Tennessee.

To all the idiots that keep saying get rid of the royals , Lets do it , give tony Blair all the power he wants to drive this country even further into the ground as president, The queen still has the right to send the armed forces to war as she is the highest ranking commander of all the branches of the armed forces, She is the only person that can dissolve the government, She is one of only two reasons that a person can still be hung for treason, So lets get rid of her as she does nothing, She just sits in her huge castle all day, lets kick out the lazy scum and put the poor and the homeless in there in stead, then all that horrid tourist money can go to look after them instead, Its not as if the royals don't raise a few quid, How much cash do they raise in revenues from tourism? How much money was made by all the businesses in London when it was the queens royal jubilee a few years back, How many people lined the streets for the Queen mums funeral.
All the idiots that say get rid of them are people that think the 60p a year is a waste of money , compared to the amount of cash they raise I think it is a good deal.

No kidding! Did some naive person decide that they were more special than any person and so was all of their offsrping and that they should get special treatment or something? But on the other hand, "normal" is being just like everybody else. When in a crowd of people, you are just there and don't stand out. So i guess they aren't normal cuz normal people are average joes and these flippin royalty must have a couple of screws loose so they ain't in no way normal. no offense to royalty of course.

There are normal people. There have always be cheiftains - long ago these were chosen for there wisdom, strength, courage and prowess in battle and they ruled until someone better toppled them or a suitable replacement was chosen after their death. At some point someone decided this was too risky, and made the rules up about inheritance spouting stuff about Gods and Kings. Tony Blair - having wrecked every other form of institution in this country - will no doubt put a stop to this

Yes, they are normal people. The common denominators are needing to eat and drink, and then needing to go to the toilet. No matter how royal the person, or how famous any person is, they all have to do those things.
Show me someone who doesn't have to attend to those basic needs (excepting assisted medical conditions), then you really have someone special.
So people made people royal. There's always been chieftains of some description. Somehow we mainly like to align our society through a system of leaders and followers. The saving grace now is that mostly royalty is a ceremonial title, without the power of life and death and being the law-makers (and breakers) that kings and queens once had.

If you look at groups of apes closely you will notice that some are more dominant & others are subserviant so obviously we evolved the same way.
The haves & the have nots have always been very well defined.
It is really all down to survival of the fittest & keeping the best, healthiest & fittest females to carry on & add strong genes to the bloodline. All a matter of chance really.

Royalty was enforced due to the acquisition of lands and treasures. That's that. The current idiots in Britain are not even royal! It is a farce and not even funny. Parliament should ajourn and throw them out. The "Queen Mum" is from Hungary! A commoner! She married the so-called Prince over there in Britain and likely inbred and they became Windsors. They had no link from them to The Tudor dyasty to The Plantagenents! They need to get out and let those castles and estates feed and house the poor! Out! They aren't normal people like us. They are idiots!

Let me tell you a true story about apes.
A group of chimpanzees had two apes contesting for leadership. As apes do, they walked back and forth a lot, with much screaming and showing of teeth. Adrenalin built up: flee or fight, until they both started fighting and one of them gave in. Normally, with animals, the fight stops there. But so much adrenalin had been built up that the stronger ape killed the other.
The whole group went into a hush.
Still the adrenalin hadn't leveled out. The victor, now killer chimpanzee, jumped on the carcas and started ripping the flesh with his teeth. He ate his opponent.
Now the group became very afraid. They were very reverent and unanimously accepted him as their leader.
Sounds a lot like us humans, right?

The stronger apes made their own royalty, as evolution suggested 'Survival of the fittest'. So they survived as the upper class than the normal (common) people.
