A face to face interview. First off, you will be able to determine the body language and reaction of the interviewer if you are there in person.

Second, the fact that you made an effort to come to their workplace says that you are interested.

Third, it gives you a chance to see the work place and other employees to see if you want to work there, too.

Well from experience, it actually depends on the person. If you tend to do relatively good in interviews, meaning you are knowledgeable and not nervous, either one would be fine. I find it a bit easier to conduct the interview over the phone, because you don't have all the pressure of looking at a person face to face as in a traditional interview. Also the phone interview is more laid back, in most situations. There are some good things about face to face interviews. For example, the employer has the chance to see your appearance, and he or she may be able to interpret your statements more effectively face to face rather than over the phone.

I prefer a face to face interview. You can make a better first impression that way. I did get my last job with a phone interview but I interviewed from out of state. It was more relaxed and informal but I really prefer to be able to look the interviewer in the eye and get a sense of whether or not you will be a good fit with the people that you will be working with.

Good Luck either way!!

I would prefer a face-to-face interview. YOU are not the only one being interviewed; you are interviewing THEM as well. Make certain that it is a place you want to work and that the people you are talking to are people you can work with. It's hard to tell these things over the phone.

If you're a fairly charismatic person and you have a professional wardrobe that suits the position, I'd definitely say you should go with the face-to-face interview. They'll have a much better idea who they'll be potentially hiring. There are not many pros to a telephone interview unless you're so nervous about the face-to-face interview that it would hurt your chances.

Face to face is best. I've had both. And I've gotten jobs from phone interviews. The first was Northrop Grumman Space Technologies, the second was Eaton Metal Products. However, with the Eaton job they did ask if I could come in for a second interview.

Depends, if you can manage a good, face to face meeting, I'm sure that would impress your interviewer, but if you often get nervous in those situations, I'd go with the phone interview.

If you can, go with the face-to-face interview, it gives you more oppurutnities to impress your future boss.

Best of luck with the interview!

Phone interview. Because I'm not a people person, so face to face contact intimidates me, even if it doesn't mean to. Plus, it's more convenient, u don't have to go there, and be all dressed to impress. It's convenient for both parties I think. No breath mints required.

In person, I think it will be much easier to determin if the job is right for you being in person. I think it will also show them you are willing to take the time to go in and meet with them. See the link below for some helpful hints on the interview, good luck.

the only way to do it is face to face..it shows them you are really serious about the job..
over the phone is lame and I would not hire any one this way.
even if a less qualified person came in for a face to face I would hire them over the phone interview..
good luck
