Barack Obama, young, smart, and not totally screwed up by washington yet. I think it's time that we had someone in office who can look at it from an outsider's point of view. I don't understand why we have thought only insider's could be president. They just know how to lie better and cover it up. Maybe if they don't know how to cover it up so well they may be forced to actually do the right thing.

Someone who served in the military and understands that war is hell.
Someone who has a sense of history and won't repeat the mistakes of the past.
Someone who can do magic with the debt our current president has buried us under.
Someone who is a moderate and works to do what is best for the whole of America, not just special interest parties.
Someone who won't interfere with our private lives (a la Terry Schivo).

A Woman should be president, the only woman smart enough at this point and qualified would be HILLARY CLINTON
why? because woman are expected to do everything, including having sole responsibility and making all the decisions about abortions, absent fathers are run amok

Bill Clinton. He served two terms now he can serve two more and get our Wonderfull country back on its feet like he had before after a Bush screwed everything up. He would damn sure give a hell of a good race for the office. Why don't we all get behind this idea and bring him back?

Ideally, Bill Clinton. Since that isn't possible, out of the people mentioned as possibilities in the media I would have to pick John Edwards simply for his views on healthcare.

A college professor who has a PHD. Not just a regular, rich old politician.--someone who has debated issues and heard people's opinions for years and would like to do something to make things change for the betterment of our country, and not his pocket.

Whoever the Libertarians pick at their convention next year. The specific person doesn't matter, as long as they aren't a Democrat or a Republican.
