Liberals are vehemently against exploration and drilling for oil in places that they consider "environmentally sensitive", like ANWAR, but have no problem with the other countries drilling like sailors on leave everywhere they can park a rig so we can pay BILLIONS of extra dollars for the oil we use here. Are the lands of other countries not "environmentally sensitive" also?
I think that with liberals it isn't about the environment, instead it's about their effort to destroy capitalism and turn the United States into a Chinese-style workers paradise where we can all ride bikes to work.
Am I right about this or am I missing a piece to this particular puzzle?

Neither the liberals nor conservatives have a clear picture about what needs to be done to maintain the American environment and energy flow. There should not be sides on this issue and no rancor or name calling, only reasonable debate about defining the problems and then correcting them. Same is true for the massive debt and unfunded obligations.

You are way off...
How would you answer this question:
You can use one of two cars to commute to work (60 miles/day)
1) Your brand new BMW car that gets 30 mpg
or
2) A "friends" beater-car that gets 26 mpg
1A) If you use your car you pay for the car, maintenance, and the faster depreciation the mileage causes.
2A) If you use your friends car all he asks is that you fill up the car when you return (nothing else). That will be an extra 77 gallons by the end of the year.
Economically 2 is what makes sense...
Another way to look at the same question:
If I have the money to buy a $300,000 house out right, should I just put all my money into the house or should I get an 80% loan and put the rest of my money into other investments???
Bottom Line - It is best to save as much of your natural resources as possible and buy resources from others first UNTIL it becomes so expensive you are actually better off selling the same resources to others (instead of using it yourself). This is the fundamental economic reasoning for conservation and preservation.

same as always - rants and statements from yahoo boy.
such as "..their effort to destroy capitalism and turn the United States into a Chinese-style workers paradise where we can all ride bikes to work."
that's a dumb rant - reported.
I won't give you a "NO" answer, because you made up those so called Liberal views on oil. Liar-Liar pants on fire.
He uses this site like is own blog, so that he can make up "facts" about liberals. (check out all his other "Questions about Liberals")
He is full of nasty rants and raves and his questions are full of his frustrations and loathing. He wants so badly for us to believe him when he says he is really interested. He will even get upset if you question his sincerity.
Of course other countries lands are environmentally sensitive.
You lied when you said Liberals believe otherwise.
You are missing many puzzle pieces.
(also, the Chinese don't ride bikes anymore, they have cars now.)
one last thing - he will always give "best answer" to the fellow conservative who best kisses his butt. Really, look for yourself.
If you want his ten points tell him how great he is and how stupid Liberals are.

We are against every country drilling for oil in environmentally sensitive areas... it's that simple... this seems to be the "piece" you are missing...
where did you hear that we "have no problems with other countries drilling" anyway? I guess you made that up? Or maybe Rush said it... either way it goes against everything I've ever heard... please cite that...
And of course we are trying to destroy America... and we're working with the aliens and elvis to do it... put on your tin foil hat and wait for us to come knocking on your door in the middle of the night... we will drink your blood and we can only be killed with silver bullets...

If you don't take care of the environment, you won't live for much longer. The ozone layer and global warming won't stop even if you conduct ridiculous prayers.
