In an homage to the immortal Calvin and Hobbes, I would choose Huey. Calvin always insisted that his dad read him a bedtime story called "Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooie." His dad was sick of reading him this story every night, particularly because it evidently featured something called the "Happy Hamster Hop," which Calvin would insist his dad act out. Though the story only exists within the Calvin and Hobbes universe, some enterprising (insane?) fans have attempted to pen their own full-length versions of the tale.

My three year old named ours Nana, like the dog in Peter Pan, and Twinkie Bell, Twink for short. Goofy...maybe. But cute.

You did not tell us what the hampster looks like. If it is all one color, name it Spot. If it is huge for a hampster, name it Slim Goody. If it is tiny and puny, name it Big Daddy. If it is just a regular hampster, name it Mr. President.
