Yeah, I'm interested in attending St. John's College, but everyone that attends receives a Master in Liberal Arts because everyone undergoes the same type of curriculm. I like the atmosphere of the school don't get me wrong, but what type of occupations are available after graduation? A Masters in Liberal Arts isn't really seen as a study for any single type of profession is it? Please help, Thanks!

I have a bachelor of science in Communications from UCLA and a Master in Liberal Arts from USC. I am a lawyer in the entertainment business. I have represented film studios and production companies in negotiating rights with authors for the past seven years.

An MLA does not, as you said, direct itself towards any specific profession. However, one would expect that an MLA graduate would be able to write and speak well, do good research, and have a background in social sciences. I have observed Liberal Arts graduates doing well in teaching, writing, programming, managing, human relations, chemical industry, telephony and the law. The most difficult part for you, I suspect, would be getting the first position and, assuming good performance, moving on or up.
