Ok I have lots of questions here......
1. Has the ointment already been applied before said fly got stuck?
2. If so, exactly where has this ointment been applied?
3. And is this spot one that would be pleasureable for said fly or would the fly pretty much be intoxicated by the foul aroma permeating from said area of application?
4. Is this a natural herb ointment made from all organic materials and, therefore, non-toxic to said fly?
5. Or will this ointment pretty much make the fly keel over on contact?
Having asked these questions..........I now just want to forget the whole thing and just give the question a bird with my hand. Is that an option? :)

A bird in the ointment, or a fly in the bush.

i'd rather be a bird in the hand. Being a fly in the ointment isn't good, whether realistically or figuratively speaking.
