I keep getting an application error, and I would like to stop windows from outputting them. How do I?

I got the application error originally in Doctor Watson, and I have successfully stopped Doctor Watson, but now I get a memory referencing error. I would like to set Windows XP so that rather than spitting an error at me it merely shuts down the program without the error. Please help me here. I have been at this all day! Any ideas?

Do you have the source code and are compiling and linking the application yourself? Or are you stuck with an executeable that you cannot change?

It is rather difficult to run a multistep batch job unattended when one of the steps hangs until an error dialog is dismissed. :-(
