So in god's example we are suppost to keep the Sabbath day holy and rest on the seventh day. My question is if this were as important as it states why wouldn't god put more emphasis on it for example. Last Sunday I was watching a honeybee pollinating flowers and I thought any other species other than humans don't take a day to rest. They work everyday. Just as hard as the last. So if resting on the seventh day were so important why wouldn't god give us subtle reminders like no honeybees pollinating. Etc.

OK, now I'm going to sound like a spiritual nut, but i just read alot about this stuff...so don't take me for a God-Freak...

God was setting an example for 'man'. Since 'Man' is made in the image of God, God was laying the foundations for the daily routine of 'Mans' life. Since God worked 6/7 days, he set the premise for how many days a MAN should work. It is not necessarily meant that ALL beings are to work 6/7 days, because God only wanted to have fellowship with MAN. In all of the proverbs, Solomon talks about how a MAN will starve if he doesn't work....and all that stuff. In other words, God was setting the example for us to follow.

You're killin me with this...but okay...I'll take a shot at it--my guess is(if God exists)God didn't really put too much emphasis into it like the 10 commandments & what not.God figured we are only human--it's tough enough for us to wipe our own @$$es,take out the trash, shower once a day, sleep without snoring, try not to kick the dog on the way out,be nice to others ,etc.....and God knew we would have a tough time with this task(rest on 7th day)...because we're pathetic humans that always do what we want to do...when we want to do it(stubborn is the word).

The 7th day is actually Saturday, the early catholics changed it to sunday because they were trying to convert the egyptians, and the egyptians worshipped their sun god (forget the name) on sunday. So to make it easier on the people, they changed the day, so that the people they were trying to convert would not put up such a fuss. But I'll make you a deal, I'll take the 7th day off, and you keep working!

How much does nature pay attention to any of the commandments today? Lions kill, Apes have many partners, and many animals will steal from others. Your question is poised in a rather pantheistic point of view. God is not nature and does not control it.

Have you read the bible at all? Like the Old Testament. God never actually said what he meant right out. He talked in riddles. You have to read between the lines.
