I drive alot over the summer in town and over the highway and I am curious as to why cops stop people. Besides the obvious traffic violations, speeders, car malfunctions why would an officer stop someone? In the wake of racial profiling being black is obvious and their are more of these trafficstops in the area surrounding where I live. Do you think a white officer is more likely to stop a black motorist because of statistics associated with blacks supposedly commiting more criminal acts? Why do they pull over people on bicycles? do you believe these random stops help?

Most people on bicycles are stopped because of breaking simple biking rules that most people are unaware of in the first place. It's usually for your own safety.
